Marblehead Housing Authority
The Marblehead Housing Authority is seeking an Executive Director to oversee the daily management and operation of 223 units of state subsidized Chapter 667 elderly/handicapped housing, 76 units of Chapter 200 family housing and 8 units of Chapter 705 family housing. The Executive Director reports to a five member Board of Commissioners. The successful candidate must have a minimum of four years’ experience in housing, community development, public administration or a closely related field; one year’s experience overseeing at least three staff persons or program administration; knowledge of the principles and practices of housing management, finances and maintenance systems in public or private housing; written and verbal communication skills; knowledge of laws regulating state housing programs; and experience working with people of various socio-economic backgrounds. Must be bondable. Certification as a Public Housing Manager from a HUD approved organization desired, and may be substituted by certification as a property manager or similar classification by a nationally recognized housing or real estate organization or by certification as a MPHA of a DHCD-approved Massachusetts Public Housing Administrator Certification Program. A bachelor’s degree in a related field may substitute for up to two years of experience. Minimum work hours are 37.5 hours per week. Salary is determined by DHCD and range begins at $71,402 and is commensurate to experience. Each submission should include a cover letter, resume, salary history and two letters of recommendation.
